Virtual gateway
With most of our servers and appliances moving to the cloud or into a virtualized Software Defined Infrastructure, so do our protective technologies like the firewall. A virtual gateway offers all the same protection and security benefits of a physical appliance, but with the added flexibility of being deployed on a virtual environment, which enables admins to place the firewall in front, or in between, virtualized devices where a traditional firewall may not be able to provide a protective layer. Additionally, it enables straightforward segregation of virtual resources and provides more control over which applications are permitted inside the public or private cloud.
