Multi-Factor Authentication
Even with a strong password policy in place, users may mismanage or accidentally expose their passwords to reuse on other platforms, increasing the risk of their credentials being stolen. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) reduce the risk associated with accidental password loss by adding a variable One-Time Password (OTP) or pin to the logon requirement.
The user can either receive this number through a hardware token, an SMS, or an application installed on their phone.
